The Creative Chaos of Design

At J. Lynn Design Group, we take design very seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Being in this industry comes with a few side effects. Here’s a peek at what it sounds like when the team gets talking. And yes, we’re guilty of all of it.

If you've ever silently judged a light bulb or mentally redesigned a room mid-sentence, congratulations, you're one of us. The JLDG team recently had a funny conversation during a late-night design brainstorm. The results were disturbingly relatable.

These are just some random inner monologues the team has in everyday, simple moments of life.

🕯️ “Hoard candle jars and trays for styling purposes.”

“No, I’m not a hoarder. This is future flat-lay gold.” (You just don’t understand the potential in that *diptyque jar.

WARM WHITE BULBS, PEOPLE. WARM. WHITE. (That cool blue LED? We’re not speaking to it.)

🕵️‍♀️ Sherlock Holmes.

“Here’s a 4300K LED in here. I know it.” (Some call it dramatic, we call it spatial awareness.)
